RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Students must post their letters only through the floor wardens. All the letters received will be scrutinised before they are given to the students. 
  • Students can make or attend phone calls only on the three phone numbers already given to the Deputy Warden at the time of admission.
  • No student may miss a class without the permission of the coordinator and the floor warden.
  • Students should not enter the hostel rooms during class hours.
  • Students will not be permitted to meet their visitors during class hours. Residents should be punctual in observing the mess timings.
  • Slippers are not allowed inside the mess halls.
  • Food and drinking water should not be wasted.
  • The arrangement of the furniture should not be disturbed in the Dining Hall. 
  • Fans & Lights must be switched off after use in the Dining Hall.The mess utensils should not be carried outside the Mess Hall. Residents should not take anything to their rooms from the kitchen or dining hall.
  • No one is allowed to enter the kitchen except the Mess Supervisor and the Coordinator. No one is allowed to summon the cooks or helper-women to their rooms. 
  • Wet clothes should be dried only in the drying area available. Chairs and tables should not be used for drying purposes. 
  • Students are forbidden to convert any portion of the halls or rooms into a place of private, public, or congregational worship.
  • Students are not allowed to use electrical appliances of any kind other than the lights and fans provided in their rooms.
  • For reasons of security, the rooms should be locked when the residents go out of their rooms, and lights and fans must be switched off. Before going to the class, the main switch must be switched off in all the rooms. 
  • All suitcases, trunks, wall cupboards, and rooms should be kept locked and the key should be carried by the owner.
  • Students are asked not to keep valuable things in their rooms. The hostel authorities take no responsibility for the loss of goods. 
  • The furniture and fittings in the hostel rooms occupied by every resident should be handed over in good condition when she vacates the hostel. The resident will be held responsible for all damage, loss, etc., and the amount will be deducted from the caution deposit. 
  • All the lights must be switched off at 10.30 p.m. Rooms must be kept clean and tidy. Also, the toilets and bathrooms must be kept clean and the taps closed. 
  • Postgraduate students should turn off the lights in the room by 11 p.m.
  • Students are not allowed to go to the other rooms or other floors. They can meet their friends on the ground floor during recreation hours. Every resident should sleep in their own room.
  • Students are not permitted to put up notices or write or affix anything on walls or doors or convene meetings of any sort, under any circumstances, anywhere in the hostel. If they do so, they will be severely punished. 
  • Students residing in the hostel must not take the day scholars to the hostel rooms or the dining hall. 
  • The Deputy Warden shall maintain an accurate record of each of the residents in the hostel, such as their progress in studies, their character, and their behaviour in the hostel. Students whose academic progress, as well as their character and conduct, are found to be inadequate are subject to disciplinary action by the Warden.
  • No resident of the hostel should vacate the hostel during the middle of the academic year. But the warden has the power to send out the residents at any time on a written recommendation by the Deputy Warden if their behaviour is not satisfactory. 
  • If former hostel residents are not entertained.
  • All the students must report to the college at 8.45 a.m. without fail. Latecomers will be severely punished.

STUDENTS WHO LEAVE LATE IN VIOLATION OF THE ABOVE (27) RULES WILL BE SUBJECT TO STRICT ACTION.




IN VIOLATION OF THE ABOVE (15) RULES, BEFORE LEAVING THEIR ROOM, THEY SHOULD SWITCH OFF THE ELECTRIC LIGHTS AND FANS. IF NOT, A FINE OF RS. 100 WILL BE IMPOSED.
