MGNCRE
Welcome to the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE), an initiative under the Ministry of Human Resource Development in the Government of India. Established with a vision to foster rural entrepreneurship, MGNCRE is committed to empowering students and fostering a culture of innovation and enterprise in rural areas.
About MGNCRE:
MGNCRE was founded to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical skills, particularly in the rural context.
Since its inception, MGNCRE has been dedicated to nurturing entrepreneurial spirit among students, aiming to create a generation
of self-reliant individuals capable of driving socio-economic change in their communities.
As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, there was no information available regarding Prof. Chethan Chittalkar serving as the Director of the MGNCRE (Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education). Keep in mind that leadership positions and appointments can change over time.
If Prof. Chethan Chittalkar has been appointed as the Director of MGNCRE after my last update, you may want to check the latest official announcements, press releases, or the MGNCRE website for the most up-to-date and accurate information. Additionally, you can search for news articles or reach out to the concerned authorities for any recent updates on Prof. Chethan Chittalkar's involvement with MGNCRE.
The Birth of Rural Entrepreneurship Cell:
On 25th November 2020, under the dynamic leadership of Dr. S. Sumaya, Principal of Thassim Beevi Abdul Kader College for Women, Kilakarai, the Rural Entrepreneurship Cell (REC) was established. REC serves as a catalyst for igniting the entrepreneurial flame within students, providing them with the necessary tools, resources, and guidance to embark on their entrepreneurial journey.
Our Objectives:
- Organizing workshops on business plan preparation and implementation.
- Strengthening entrepreneurial skills through business competitions.
- Grooming students to become successful rural entrepreneurs.
- Initiating and promoting rural entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Facilitating networking opportunities with established rural entrepreneurs.
Leadership and Guidance:
Under the able guidance of Prof. Chethan Chittalkar, Director of MGNCRE, and Dr. G. Rajini, MGNCRE has been instrumental in motivating students towards adopting an entrepreneurial and professional mindset. Through various workshops and seminars, they have imparted invaluable knowledge and insights, inspiring students to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.
Our Workshops and Initiatives:
MGNCRE conducts a series of workshops and training programs aimed at honing the entrepreneurial skills of students. These workshops cover diverse topics ranging from ideation and business model development to market analysis and financial planning. Through hands-on activities and mentorship sessions, students are equipped with the necessary skills and confidence to launch their ventures.
Join Us in Empowering Rural Entrepreneurs:
At MGNCRE, we believe that entrepreneurship is not just about starting a business but about creating solutions, generating employment, and fostering sustainable development. We invite students, educators, and aspiring entrepreneurs to join us in our mission to empower rural communities through entrepreneurship. Together, let's transform ideas into actions and dreams into realities.
